Use of Narrative in Interactive Design

This is somethiing that I want to start playing with.

not that i am sorry

I didn’t realize people actually went here. I have received a fair amount of requests to keep posting. I shall post some more junk for us to digest. Last week I became ill for some reason. It’s a bad bug that will have your kneecaps trembling like half dead squirrels on the highway.

Usability of Websites for Teenagers

According to the Pew Internet and American Life Project, 83 percent of U.S. teenagers are online. Other advanced countries show similar percentages. Websites should improve their design to better meet this huge user group's actual needs and desires, rather than target mistaken stereotypes. The opportunities are there.

local talent

makes me happy.

i am a fan

i like vincent gallo. hes a very talented mother bastard. his character in buffalo 66 was excellent. reminded me of myself at times. i took a visit to his site and it seems hes selling (out) some merchandise. everything is $100 and up, very Rare, and Out of Print! why cant we reprint some of this stuff so people like me and ralph can afford some of his works? i just dont see the point in paying $500 for a record.

although - on a good note.

another reason why i love minneapolis. starring an old co worker mr.davis. great music fun. visit the site these people are so goddamn nice - they give away free tunes.

bio
"Bred on the healthy pop influences of XTC and Richard Davies, Minneapolis' Work of Saws was initially conceived as a hobby project of singer/guitarist Brock Davis. Using a beat up tape recorder, Davis began compiling hundreds of one- to two-minute "songlets" that ran the stylistic gamut, including country-pop vignettes, playful punk/pop ditties, and Brill Building-inspired pop songs. Beginning to realize the potential of his copious songs, Davis enlisted the help of bass player and principal member Dave Salmela, who began augmenting the material with piano arrangements and backing vocals. Rounding out the lineup soon after Salmela's addition came guitarist Kurt Froehlich and drummer Greg Barnell. Davis' prolific songwriting ability and his penchant for a lo-fi recording style, short songs, oblique titles, and idiosyncratic lyrics quickly earned the band superficial comparisons to indie pop heroes Guided By Voices, although their dynamic genre shifting belied a talent that would defy a relegation to mere copycat status. Culled primarily from Davis' early tapes, Work of Saws released their epic largely acoustic 44-song debut album Motivation and Watertower Grammar in the spring of 2001, to much acclaim from the local and national indie underground, while their energetic, crowd-pleasing live shows continued to broaden the band's fan base.

pods of joy

The latest technology trend in Tokyo are private rooms called Media Immersion Pods. For a rental fee, customers can check in to a technology room for as along as they like. Once inside, every aspect of technology is available to them from the Internet and DVDs to satellite TV to Sony Playstation.

If the pod renter becomes overwhelmed by technology, there is also a nearby library with books and magazines to take back to their pod.

These media immersion pods are quickly becoming a desirable place to escape to. Young people are meeting their friends there to surf the net and play video games; business men are checking their stock and email; many couples go to flirt; and many are even staying overnight. It is accepted that what goes on in these pods is private, making them a popular place for personal matters.

mento music

what is mento music?

"Here's a short answer: It's a largely forgotten Jamaican music that is the grand pappy of reggae. For a ska or reggae fan, mento sounds familiar and exotic and unfamiliar. Mento recordings are difficult to come by, but worth seeking out. It's music that lifts my spirits and relaxes my mind whenever I hear it."

Audi

As some of you may know - i have been in an insane pitch here at fallon. Its for audi. it - it was for audi. You can read here. Im kinda sad. We fucking drew some serious blood for 4 weeks straight for this baby. Many - many late nights cranking on ideas. In the end - im sure it will pay off. Nothing worse to work for a client that just doesnt seem to understand. ill try to post some of the work - after xmas.

ham

Here is the last design i created for Ham before i left. I like it. We were talking about creating a new site for the company. Something different to attract some new biz and generate some jibba jabba for them. They have now become super busy since i left - so im not sure where this might go.

ill try to dig up some other work i have done.
